FURTHER RECOMMENDATION
All planters purchased should be coated with a sealant inside (thick coat) and out (durable exterior coat). These coats should be applied to every part of the barrel to prevent the oak from drying out or rotting. If this precaution is not implemented then the barrel planter may loss its integrity over a shorter time period depending on the direct weathering.
We strongly recommend all customers protect their planters inside and out. Coat the planter inside with 2 layers of Ormonoid Bitokite No3. Once the first coat is dry over 24 hours reply second coat in an opposite direction. Coat the outside of the planter with UV protective decking oil. This will maintain the planter’s integrity and life span for many years. This process can be provided at an extra $30 per planter.
